For the launch of the Critical Meet event, Stevenson chose to examine not the artist's work, but what they had to say about it, as his topic. Their words were recorded and re-arranged into an often confounding and contradictory essay that spoke of the artist's struggles and approach to their often highly personal artworks.

As part of the Gaps in Archaeology project in Leicester, Stevenson undertook a numer of seminars, talks and focus groups with Phd students, lecturers, and participants from various academic, cultural and religious backgrounds.

In collaboration with Ed Wakefield, Stevenson took part in several 'happenings', exploring the way that naval history is viewed by the Midlands. Poetry, shanties, and character performances took place in numerous locations in Nottingham and Birmingham.
